Marketing Artist

position overview

The Marketing Artist is responsible for creating high quality visuals for use in marketing materials, and for taking part in the brand visual identity definition. You will leverage the art style of our games to create a wide range of assets on multiple mediums, including but not limited to web graphics, social media, ad creatives, photography, posters and videos. You will create original pieces of artwork that match the game styles as well as manipulate existing art assets into polished, usable formats across a wide range of mediums.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide AAA quality marketing art that will resonate with target audience
  • Generate detailed scripts and storyboards to communicate ideas for ad material
  • Create videos and static advertisements for use on multiple marketing channels as well as materials used in game
  • Ability to export high quality raw content from 3D and 2D game files (3DS MAX, Maya, Unity, etc.).
  • Animate, illustrate, and compose marketing content following IP specific brand and style guidelines
  • Successfully provide high quality materials for concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders  for production and delivery of marketing materials
  • Proactively track trends in design, user experience, and social media
  • Work Collaboratively with the art teams as well as central publishing to push our products to the highest quality

 

Skills and abilities:

  • Able to work autonomously and make solid decisions with regards to marketing asset creation
  • Well versed in a wide range of marketing mediums such as web graphics, social media, ad creatives, photography, posters, and videos
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Able to create new or manipulate existing multiple styles of art into polished, usable formats, across many mediums
  • Positive attitude with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

 

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience using Photoshop (or any equivalent 2D software) and After Effects
  • Experience with 3D software (e.g. Maya or 3DS Max)
  • Experience documenting processes
  • Great understanding and use of composition and color theory
  • Knowledge of graphic/visual/stylistic trends in art, film, and games
