Boss Fight Entertainment is a game development studio headquartered in Allen, Texas, with studios in Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington. Boss Fight’s continuing mission is to bring simple, beautiful and fun game experiences to our players wherever they play.

We are passionate game makers, dedicated to crafting amazingly fun experiences. Our products are accessible, innovative, deep and beautiful, and we profoundly care about our community of players around the world. We don’t just make games, we play and love them…just like you.

Founded in 2013, our veteran team has produced some of the industry’s best-selling and most critically acclaimed games for mobile, social, PC, and consoles. These titles include the Age of Empires Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Halo Wars franchises, as well as the free-to-play mega-hits CastleVille, Dungeon Boss, myVEGAS Bingo and Kingdom Boss!

Studio Leadership

David Rippy
David Rippy CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

An industry veteran of 26 years, David Rippy most recently served as GM of Zynga’s CastleVille and was responsible for growing and managing the size-able business. While at Zynga, David also functioned as divisional Chief of Staff and Studio Head for the company’s Dallas operations. In 2008, David co-founded and acted as President and CEO of Bonfire Studios; previous experience includes serving as Group Program Manager of the Age of Empires franchise for Microsoft Ensemble Studios.

Bill Jackson CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

With over 20 years of game industry experience, Bill Jackson is responsible for the creative direction of Boss Fight’s games. Bill most recently served as a divisional Creative Director/GM at Zynga, leading design efforts on CastleVille and later directing game design across multiple studios. Previously, Bill co-founded and was Creative Director at Bonfire Studios and served as Producer on Microsoft Ensemble Studios’ Halo Wars.

Scott Winsett
Scott Winsett Chief Operating Officer

Scott has 26 years of game development experience. As a divisional COO at Zynga, Scott was instrumental in establishing technology, procedures, and production pipeline standards across multiple studios. Prior to his COO role, Scott redefined the visual style for social gaming with CastleVille, then helped drive a high bar across all Zynga internal divisional games. Scott was a co-founder of Bonfire Studios, serving as VP of Operations, and was one of the first employees at Ensemble Studios.

Dave Luehmann
Dave Luehmann Director of Game Development

Luehmann has over 25 years of experience in the gaming industry, most recently as a Director of Amazon’s gaming division where he oversaw multiple internal development studios and helped to build the games publishing arm of the company. Previously David served as the Vice President of 3rd Party development at Trion Worlds, and as GM of Microsoft Studios where his teams built such notable products as Age of Empires, ‘MechAssault, ‘MechWarrior, Halo Wars, Forza, and Flight Simulator.

Kristin Long
Kristin Long Chief of Staff

Kristin has 14 years of experience in the entertainment industry. After starting her career in Production on television shows at Viacom’s Nickelodeon, she moved into commercials and worked with brands and IP holders such as Ford, Samsung, Hasbro, The Mavericks, and LeapFrog. Migrating soon after that into the world of games, she worked on CastleVille while at Zynga before joining and helping to grow Boss Fight Entertainment.

Damion Schubert
Damion Schubert Design Director

A 24 year veteran of the games industry, Damion Schubert has a long and storied career leading design teams, mostly focused on massively multiplayer game design, with a focus on systems design, social design, and monetization. Damion’s history includes design leadership roles on Meridian 59, Shadowbane and Star Wars: the Old Republic. Damion is also a frequent writer and speaker on game design issues and techniques. As Design Director, he was instrumental in the launch and continued success of Dungeon Boss.

Pamela Daniel
Pamela Daniel Human Resources

Pamela has over 15 years in Human Resources. Before coming to Boss Fight, she was the HR Manager for a high-tech company that developed software for online trading platforms, after which she took a break from high-tech to work for the national retailer JCPenney. She made her way into the entertainment industry when she became part of HR management for a commercial and animation studio that worked with clients such as Dodge and The Home Depot, in addition to co-producing animated films such as Free Birds and Book of Life.

Harlan Batac
Harlan Batac Finance

With over 13 years of accounting and finance experience, Harlan oversees all financial and accounting operations, reporting, and planning for Boss Fight. Previously, Harlan provided financial management and advisory services for physician groups for R1, a large public healthcare revenue cycle and advisory service company. Prior to that, he worked for several years for a large public accounting firm providing business consulting services specializing in the IT industry.

Derek Taylor
Derek Taylor Director of Technology

Derek Taylor started his illustrious career in games in 1995, making children’s educational games, after years working on engineering teams for Lockheed Martin and has never looked back. Since then, he has worked on multiple titles such as Mythica MMO, Guild Wars, Titles: X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Princess and The Frog, The Penguins of Madagascar: Dr. Blowhole Returns, Call of Duty PSP, Deer Hunter 2014, Dino Hunter, Dragon Storm, Smash Storm, and Slots DoubleDown and has been leading Engineering teams since 2014.
